The State Oceanic Administration and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology signed an agreement on co-constructing      the Ship and Ocean Engineering Discipline of HIT

Officially renamed Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai)

Weihai Municipal Government and HIT signed an agreement on co-constructing HIT Weihai Branch

HIT's School of Automotive Engineering officially relocated to Weihai, and the expansion and renovation of Weihai Branch were            carried out

Approved by the former State Education Commission, HIT's School of Automotive Engineering moved to Weihai and merged with        Weihai Branch

The school officially started enrolling students

Approved by the former China Aerospace Industry Corporation, the preparation for the school began
