On June 22, HIT Weihai held an adjunct professor appointment ceremony in the Main Building of HIT Weihai, aiming to further deepen international exchanges and high-level talent training.Tupolev Valerii and Airapetov Sergei, both Russian Academy of Engineering Academicians, were officially appointed Adjunct Professors. Zhang Wencong, Party SecretaryofHIT Weihai, presented the certificates, and Zhang Huaqiang, Vice President of HIT Weihai,presided over the event. Leaders from relevant departments and schools attended.
Zhang Wencong highlighted HIT’s century-long heritage and major research achievements, and reviewed the Weihai Campus’progress over the past 40 years in disciplines, teaching, research, talent cultivation, and industry-education integration. He emphasized the philosophy of open education and international cooperation, noting the campus’ commitment to connecting with global resources and platforms.

The appointment of the two academicians marks a key opportunity to deepen Sino-Russian cooperation in science, technology, and education.
