Recently, Zhang Huaqiang, Vice President of the Campus, led a delegation to visit the Russian Academy of Engineering, and conducted in-depth discussions with the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Engineering on deepening scientific research cooperation and strengthening personnel exchanges.
During the talks, Zhang Huaqiang introduced the achievements made by HIT Weihai Campus in talent cultivation, scientific research and internationalized education over the past 40 years of its operation. He also reviewed the sound cooperation foundation between the Campus and the Russian Academy of Engineering, and expressed high expectations for the prospects of exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
Boris Vladimirovich Gusev, President of the Russian Academy of Engineering, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the Campus. He briefed the guests on the development history, management structure and ongoing large-scale international cooperation projects of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and expressed sincere expectations and good wishes for future cooperation with the Campus.
Experts from the Russian Academy of Engineering and the campus delegation conducted in-depth exchanges on such fields as integrated machinery for road paving, low-altitude cable cars, surface-effect wing craft, surface and underwater marine engineering equipment, cross-medium communication and flight control technology. They had an in-depth exchange of views on talent exchanges and project cooperation in key areas, and reached a consensus on further discussions and negotiations in the next step, laying a solid foundation for high-level cooperation in the future.

Responsible persons of relevant disciplines from the School of Ocean Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering, and School of New Energy of the campus participated in this visit and exchange.
