On the afternoon of November 26, Tan Yiqiu, Assistant President of Harbin Institute of Technology and President of the Weihai Campus, met with Professor Atilla·Incecik, former Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, UK, in the conference room of the main building. Qian Hongliang, Vice President of the Weihai Campus, also attended the meeting.
Tan Yiqiu welcomed Professor Atilla·Incecik's visit and thanked him for his long-term efforts and support for the cooperative education program between the two universities. She also introduced the recent development of the campus and the progress of the Sino-British cooperative education program. She pointed out that the cooperative education program has achieved phased results, with most of the first batch of graduates going on to study at top universities around the world, and the quality of talent cultivation has been fully recognized by society. She looks forward to further deepening cooperation with the University of Strathclyde to cultivate more high-quality talents.
Professor Atilla·Incecik congratulated the project on its achievements, thanked the campus for its contributions to the collaboration, and introduced the development of relevant disciplines at the University of Strathclyde.
Both sides had in-depth exchanges on the scale of the cooperative education program and the optimization of the training model.
Representatives from the School of Ocean Engineering and the Office of International Cooperation attended the meeting.
